Maintenance Packages
The Benefits of a WordPress Maintenance Package
Why Regular Updates?
The most important reason to install updates regularly is to minimize security risks. By keeping your website updated, you ensure that it remains compatible with the latest standards and protocols.
Beyond security, updates can also introduce new features, improving the user experience. New functionalities may enhance mobile responsiveness and increase loading speed.
In addition to better performance and security, regularly updating your WordPress website helps maintain compatibility with other systems and software solutions, reducing potential conflicts and disruptions.
What Does Our WordPress Maintenance Package Include?

Performing All Updates
As part of our maintenance package, we ensure that WordPress and all plugins are always up to date (monthly or quarterly). The server software, PHP, is also regularly checked. We identify potential compatibility issues and first test updates on a local test copy before applying them to your live site.
For some plugins, updates are low-risk. In these cases, we enable automatic updates (a feature available since WordPress version 5.5 – see our blog post on this topic).
Testing After Updates
After the update process, we thoroughly check your website for errors. We use professional tools such as BrowserStack to efficiently simulate your website across the most common devices.
While we have extensive testing experience, we cannot guarantee that we will catch every possible issue.
Reporting Issues After Testing
Any irregularities or issues encountered during updates are continuously documented to ensure efficient resolution if they reoccur.
If we identify a problem after an update, we will analyze and report it. However, fixing issues is not included in the maintenance package.
Daily Backups
Most hosting providers offer automatic backups, but these are often only stored for a few days. For clients in our maintenance package, we back up the website daily to an external server and retain copies for 90 days. This ensures your data is secure and can be restored in case of an issue—even if the problem is discovered months later.
Checking for Broken Links
We identify and correct broken links to ensure an optimal user experience and smooth website functionality. Broken links often occur when URLs are modified or when external partner websites go offline. These links should be avoided as they negatively impact your Google ranking.
Security Check After Updates
A security check ensures that critical security measures on your website are functioning correctly. This helps detect and resolve potential security issues that may arise after an update before they have a serious impact on your site.
Uptime Monitoring
Depending on your hosting provider, your website may experience occasional downtime due to server maintenance. Our uptime monitoring checks website availability every minute. Any downtime—often unnoticed otherwise—is logged and reported in a monthly summary.
Performance Analysis
Website performance is crucial for user experience and SEO rankings. Faster loading times encourage visitors to stay longer and improve conversion rates. Performance can degrade over time due to new plugins or content additions, which is why continuous monitoring is essential.
Google Search Console Analysis
Through continuous SEO monitoring using Google Search Console, we detect potential SEO issues affecting your website’s indexing on Google. Regular optimizations help improve your search engine rankings over time.
Optional: SEO Check for Your Keywords
With our SEO check, you can define up to 100 keywords relevant to your business. We track these keywords in our tool and provide a monthly report on how your website ranks compared to competitors in Google search results.
